New York State IEDR Rate Plan Browser
The IEDR Rate Plan Browser provides streamlined access to energy rate plan options across New York State Investor Owned Utilities in an efficient and standardized data format. The Rate Plan Browser will enable clean energy companies, software companies, and policy makers to explore rate plan options and optimize matching between consumers and energy rate plans.
Flux Tailor designed the first version of the IEDR Rate Plan Browser as part of our collaboration with E Source on the IEDR Development Team. As the project grows, we will engage with those who need access to customer and rate plan data for New York State to discover priority use cases and inform feature development to meet user needs.
Currently, there are no internationally agreed-upon standards for structured rate plan data. Flux Tailor is committed to making customer and rate plan data more easily accessible through open data exchange standards. The first version of the IEDR Rate Plan data schema was designed by Flux Tailor based on our experience developing bill estimation models for clean energy startup clients. We will continue to contribute to existing data exchange initiatives and engage with industry leaders nationally and internationally to develop and promote an open standard for rate plan data.

Urban Green Council Grid Ready Map
Flux Tailor supported Urban Green Council with product management for an interactive map modeling the impact of increased building electrification on New York City’s electrical grid.
NYSERDA Geopossibilities
Continuing Flux Tailor’s commitment to finding new and sustainable alternatives for consumer utility needs, we joined a team creating an interactive calculator for Ground Source Heat-Pumps for the Westchester community for NYSERDA.
PG&E Rate Comparison Tool – ZappyRide
Flux Tailor assisted ZappyRide in building an EV rate plan comparison tool for PG&E. We provided a technical specification and developed a quality assurance tool for bill estimation modeling.

Indigo Advisory Project with New York Utilities
Flux Tailor provided project management, online collaboration support, and information management domain expertise for a collaboration between ConEdison, National Grid, Avangrid and the New York Power Authority. The collaboration, started by Indigo Advisory, focused on an exploration of use cases for shared utility information infrastructure using blockchain technology.
